Autonomous Underwater Vehicle

Hi everybody, I'm completely newbie with OROCOS but I have a challenge to do. I'm supposed to project a Autonomous Underwater Vehicle(AUV). I have some experiences with Linux/Xenomai/RTAI platforms but I wanna know whether someone could recommend the OROCOS and your all supported tools for this kind of work, once it's not a specific humanoid robot. I mean, there are no joints on it, only a 6DOF motion.

Thanks for all,

Breno

Yes, definitely recommended. We use OROCOS for non-humanoid and non-
dexterous robotic applications. Works great. Definitely speeds
development. The only downside is a steep learning curve ... check the
forums on that.

Thank's for your support. Taken advantage of your expertise, I'd say that
the first component I have to make is an Inertial Measurements Unit
(IMU)that's my source of information from environment under water. Is
there any application already done that's even a little bit similar to it?

Thanks again,
