Hi all,
It's about time to think about releasing master as 2.7. As usual, now is
the time to check if your favorite patches are already on master and *reply
here* if they aren't. For the ROS users, I'd only release 2.7 for Hydro and
not 2.6...upgrading should be completely painless. For Rock users, we'll
have to coordinate how to merge things back-and-from.
Since ROS changed to the package.xml format, Ruben has some patches in line
to be compatible with the new conventions. The reason we're doing this is
because it's a cheap source of integration and release builds for Ubuntu
packages, and because of the ROS integration of course.
2.7 should land somewhere in early June then, shortly after the Hydro
release.

I have a few minor Lua patches, I'll send you a pull request later
today.

I can't set an absolute date, I'd hope that it at least builds in a
Hydro environment and a Rock environment before summer/July starts.

Ok, fine!

Hi,
This announce has been around for a while now, it's maybe the longest
release preparation I've ever seen here, are you trying to reach the
perfection ? ^^.
Is anything wrong happening behind the scene ? Do you need some testing ?

Some time ago, you (Peter S.) sent me a patch to
rtt/types/PropertyDecomposition.cpp that fixed a problem where enums
inside typekits were not logged by value, in the logging component. That
patch seems to be absent in the current master. Could you take a look? I
have attached the patch.
